We are proud to announce that on September 22, Exergy was named one of the five winners of the 2026 Geothermal Rising Tech Awards during the Honors and Awards Ceremony at the 50th Geothermal Rising Conference in Houston.
This recognition celebrates breakthrough technologies with the potential to accelerate geothermal development worldwide, and our Radial Outflow Gemini Turbine has been selected as one of them.
As a next‑generation configuration engineered to meet the larger unit sizes and demanding operating profiles required by emerging utility‑scale geothermal projects — including Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS) — the Gemini is designed to deliver up to 60 MWe with a single turbine, standing among the largest ORC turbine configurations available for geothermal power generation.
Its increased unit size enables developers to reduce the number of turbines required, streamline plant design, minimize overall footprint, and lower turbine costs compared with traditional multi‑turbine layouts.
Selected through a highly competitive evaluation process that assessed commercial readiness, scalability, technological innovation, and ESG contribution, this award highlights Exergy’s role in advancing solutions that reduce project costs and risks, improve efficiency, and unlock new development opportunities across the geothermal value chain—from subsurface exploration and drilling to reservoir performance and power generation.
This milestone aligns with Exergy’s broader commitment to support pressing challenges in the energy sector: delivering scalable, cost‑competitive, and reliable clean power to meet rising electricity demand driven by AI infrastructure, data centers, and industrial electrification.
